Cheer uniforms can be one of the steepest expenses for a high school cheerleading team. Costs vary based on your uniforms’ level of customization, the materials used, and the number of pieces included. For cheer booster clubs, raising money for cheer uniforms can feel daunting. Are you wondering how much cheer uniforms cost, and how your team will be able to afford them?
In this article, we’ll give you an idea of expected costs and an engaging fundraising idea your booster club can use to cover uniform costs without placing the financial burden on your athletes or families.
How Much Does a Cheer Uniform Cost, on Average?Â
Cheer uniforms typically cost about $50-$300+ per athlete. Where your uniforms fall within this range depends entirely on the type of uniform you’re investing in.
Standard school cheer uniforms, which often consist of a cheer top, skirt, briefs, and school lettering, typically fall on the lower end of that spectrum. Customized varsity and all-star uniforms, on the other hand, can cost significantly more. Additional expenses, like shoes, bows, practice apparel, and warmups, add to that cost.
