According to an excellent infographic from CoSchedule, you want to tweet 15 times per day. Further, most retweets occur within the hour of the original tweet. So, it’s better to tweet often so that the chances for retweets, and thus more eyes on your content. In addition, they recommend that you retweet and curate approximately seven tweets per day on your account. So, with Twitter, it’s important to be active. Make them laugh

Want to stand out on Twitter? Well, use humor. Humor goes a long way to grab the attention of others and is much more likely to get liked or retweeted. Naturally, many nonprofits deal with serious issues. But with wit and some creative thinking, even serious things could include respectful and appropriate humor. A good start is to Google what others do, and see how you can make people laugh.
